Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Lobb Control ("Lobb Control," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your use of the lobbcontrol.com website, the Lobb Control web app, the Lobb Control mobile app, public tournament pages, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, registering for or running a tournament, accepting an invitation, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of a club, venue, or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
The short version
- Lobb Control is in closed early access. Organizer access is by invitation, and features may change.
- Organizers run their own tournaments and are responsible for their events, rules, entry fees, and refunds.
- Players pay entry fees directly to organizers. Lobb Control does not hold or process those payments.
- Organizers pay Lobb Control a per-player service fee in stages, as shown in their billing panel.
- Be respectful, keep information accurate, and do not misuse the Service.
1. Closed Early Access
Lobb Control is currently offered as a closed early access release. Access to organizer features is limited to people we approve or invite, and we may limit or end early access at any time. During early access, features may be added, changed, or removed, and you may encounter errors or interruptions. We will try to give organizers reasonable notice of changes that affect an upcoming tournament.
We welcome feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve the Service without any obligation to you.
2. Accounts
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Category eligibility depends on details like your date of birth, sex, and rating, so these must be truthful.
- If you are under 18, you need your parent or guardian's permission to create an account or register for a tournament.
- You must verify your email address before you can register, make changes, or take other actions in the app.
- Keep your password and sign-in links secure, and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity on your account unless you tell us promptly about unauthorized use.
- Invitation links are meant only for the person they were sent to. Do not use them to gain access you were not given.
3. Organizers, Players, Referees, and Spectators
Organizers
Organizers are independent of Lobb Control. When you run a tournament on Lobb Control, you are responsible for your event, including its rules, categories, eligibility decisions, schedule, venue, safety, entry fees, refunds, communications, and the conduct of your staff. Lobb Control provides the tools; it does not become the organizer, host, or sponsor of your tournament.
You may collect and use participants' information only for running your tournament, and you are responsible for any notice or permission your event requires. This includes information you export from Lobb Control, such as player lists. Tournaments must pass our review before they are published publicly, and we may decline or unpublish a tournament that breaks these Terms.
Players
When you register, you agree to the organizer's rules and decisions for that event. Register only yourself, invite only partners who agreed to play with you, and submit only genuine payment proofs. Providing false eligibility information or a fake payment proof may lead the organizer to remove you from the event and may lead us to restrict your account.
Referees
Referees agree to record scores accurately and only for matches they are assigned to. Only one device can control the scoring of a match at a time. If you score without an internet connection, your scores are saved on your device and sync when you reconnect; keep the app open and signed in until they do. Organizers can review and correct results.
Spectators
Public tournament pages and live scores are provided for following events. Do not copy them in bulk or use them to harass or contact participants.
4. Entry Fees Between Players and Organizers
Entry fees are set by organizers and paid directly to them, for example by scanning the organizer's payment QR code with an e-wallet or banking app and uploading proof of payment. Lobb Control is not a party to those payments. We do not process, hold, or guarantee entry fees, and we are not responsible for refunds. The organizer decides whether to approve a registration and whether to issue a refund under their event's policy. Lobb Control helps organizers record payment proofs and track refunds, but the refund itself is made by the organizer.
Do not upload screenshots that show card numbers, passwords, or one-time codes. We may remove payment proofs that are fake, unrelated, or unsafe.
5. Lobb Control Service Fees for Organizers
Creating, setting up, and publishing a tournament is free. Organizers pay Lobb Control a service fee for each unique player in their tournament. A player who enters more than one category is counted once. The rate is shown in your tournament's billing panel and is locked for that tournament when it becomes due. Fees are paid in two stages:
- Activation: once your registrations pass the activation point shown in your billing panel, an activation payment becomes due. If it is not paid within the grace period shown, new registrations may be paused until it is. Activation unlocks your final schedule, brackets, and bulk exports.
- Final balance: after registrations close, your final bill is the number of unique players multiplied by your locked rate, minus your approved activation payment. Tournament-day features, including starting a tournament day, Court View, and live scoring, are available once the final balance is approved.
You pay by scanning the Lobb Control payment QR code shown in your billing panel with any e-wallet or banking app and uploading proof of payment. We review payments manually and may reject a proof that does not match the amount due. Fees are in Philippine pesos. Refunds of service fees are not automatic; if you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review your request.
6. Waitlist Credits
People who joined the Lobb Control waitlist before closed early access were offered PHP 1,000 in credits. We honor these credits as a discount on Lobb Control service fees (equivalent to 20 player entries at PHP 50 each) when the waitlist member runs a tournament. To claim them, contact us from the email address you used to join the waitlist. Credits are limited to one per person and email, are not transferable, have no cash value, and may be withheld in cases of fraud or duplicate sign-ups.
7. Your Content and What Is Public
You keep ownership of the content you submit, such as profile details, photos, tournament pages, announcements, and messages. You give Lobb Control a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, and share that content as needed to operate and promote the Service in line with your settings and our Privacy Policy. You confirm that you have the rights to the content you submit.
Some information is public by design, including published tournament pages, schedules, live scores, standings, participant display names, profile pictures, and player profiles. Our Privacy Policy lists what is public and what is never public. Organizers must not publish private contact details, payment information, or other personal information that participants did not agree to share.
8. Content Standards, Moderation, and Reports
Usernames, names, bios, tournament pages, announcements, messages, and images must not be offensive, sexual, hateful, harassing, misleading, or infringing, and must not impersonate others. We use automated filters to screen usernames and text, and we screen public images (such as profile pictures and tournament covers) before they are published. If content is blocked by mistake, you can choose different content or contact us.
You can report content or accounts in the app. We review reports and may remove content, unpublish a tournament, or restrict an account that breaks these Terms.
9. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- break the law, impersonate someone, or misrepresent your identity, eligibility, or authority;
- harass, threaten, discriminate against, defraud, or spam anyone;
- access another person's account, private messages, payment proofs, or tournament data without permission;
- upload malware or content you have no right to share;
- interfere with or overload the Service, or get around its security, rate limits, access controls, or billing;
- scrape, scan, or test the Service for vulnerabilities without our written permission; or
- copy, resell, or reverse engineer the Service to build a competing product, except where the law allows it.
10. Schedules, Scores, and Tournament Decisions
Lobb Control generates schedules, court assignments, and referee assignments automatically, and shows scores and standings as they are recorded. These are tools to help organizers. Organizers remain responsible for reviewing them and for final decisions on eligibility, results, disputes, and safety. Real-world conditions such as weather, venue rules, late players, connectivity problems, or device issues can make displayed information out of date, so confirm important details with the organizer.
11. Mobile App
When you use the Lobb Control mobile app for iOS or Android, your use is also subject to the terms of the app store or testing program you got it from. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its support. Keep the app updated to get fixes and new features.
12. Intellectual Property
The Lobb Control name, logo, software, designs, and content we create belong to Lobb Control or its licensors. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. They do not give you any other rights to our materials.
13. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third parties, such as Google sign-in, hosting and storage providers, email and push-notification services, and app stores. Their own terms may apply, and we are not responsible for their services, outages, or policies.
14. Suspension, Termination, and Deleting Your Account
You can stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account, email [email protected] from your account's email address. Organizers with open refunds or unpaid service fees must settle them first.
We may suspend or limit your access, remove content, or close your account if you break these Terms, do not pay service fees, create risk for other users, or if we are required to by law. Where appropriate, we will tell you why. We may keep some information after termination as described in our Privacy Policy.
15. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," especially during closed early access. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every event, and we are not responsible for the accuracy of information entered by users, for organizers' decisions, or for how a tournament is run.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lobb Control will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, or for tournament outcomes, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the Lobb Control service fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
17. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate Lobb Control for claims, losses, and reasonable costs that arise from your breach of these Terms, your content, your tournament (if you are an organizer), or information you submitted without the necessary permission. This does not apply to losses caused by our own wrongdoing.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will change the effective date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you through the Service or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. Changes do not affect service fees already locked for an existing tournament.
19. Governing Law and Contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict of law rules, and without limiting any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected]. For general inquiries you can also call or text +63 998 996 9521, or message us on Facebook or Instagram.
